Republic Ride @ Bangalore!!!!

A day left to our exciting republic ride and  I suggested my group to be ready with tricolor Flag on their Enfield. Even I got my Flag fitted replacing left side rear mirror from one of workshop in Jayanagar. Riding with National Flag instilled Pride feeling of my motherland in me. One kid from a car staring at me saluted with a pride on seeing a National Flag on my bullet.Combined roaring thump sound shaken the Bangalore.

On 26th Jan 2010, we all bulleteer were to assemble in Ulsoor Photoflash 1:00 PM. Since the ride was to be flagged off by transport minister Mr. R.Ashok at 2:30, we all lined up on our bullets. We did some pleasure rides but this republic ride is no pleasure ride but it had a cause in it. The cause was to aware bangaloreans of safe riding message to two wheelers, four wheelers and general motorist. Our route for republic ride was mapped for around 30kms. Starting from Ulsoor lake-lalbagh-wilson garden-dairy circle-koramangla-domlur- back to ulsoor lake.Media persons took shots from every possible angle and I called one of media guy to take some shot of me with my bullet since with the enough pride I had decorated my bull with tricolor flag.

For those with pillion rider were given pamphlets with written safe riding tips in it.Shivani who came all the way from Whitefield in her car even though she wasn't feeling well, she made it to be part of this ride for a cause. She happened to join me as a pillion rider and as per the rules she had to pass on the pamphlets at every signal and I have to concentrate to be in line with my group. Being a pillion rider she had a tough job with taking shots with my camera, shoot videos and passing on pamphlets and she did it safely and perfectly. At some junction it was difficult for us to be in sync because of heavy traffic. But whole scattered riders would again line up and continue our republic ride.At around 4:30 we touched our finishing line "Ulsoor lake" and gathered to have yelnir to cool our systems.

Happy and Safe thumping.
